Import from an other Event

You can copy data from one event to another. If some parts of your data don't change much between events, you can use this procedure to save some time.

To start an import from another event, go to the Import page of your event discipline and start a new import.

On the first page select the option from another Event

Step 1. Select the Event

In the first step, you will need to choose were to copy the data from.

First you need to select an event from the list. After selecting a list, you can select one of the disciplines of that event to copy from.

Step 2. Select the Data Sections

After step 1, you will be able to select which parts of the selected competition you want to copy. When you finished your selection, press the continue button to retrieve the data and prepare the import

Step 3. Review the Import Preparation

A soon as all the import data is collected, you will see the import summary were you can verify the number of object that the import will add or update.

Check if the numbers make sense before continuing with the execution of the import. You can also open the details of each section to see if the data matches with your expectation.

If anything looks of, it is better to check again before proceeding with the execution of the import.

Step 4. Execute the Import

Until now, no data has been changed in your event. To proceed with the actual import, press the execute button. This will start the execution of the import, and you will be able to follow the status during the execution.
